MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Giving announced the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED) as one of the Yield Giving Open Call’s awardees working with people and in places experiencing the greatest need in the United States. CNHED received $2 million.

Kadasha Hershey is currently serving with the National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations (NACEDA) as their Systems Change VISTA. Kadasha’s service year is coming to an end this July, and CNHED wanted to share her experience as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member.

District of Columbia Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP)
The Street and Sidewalk Vending Workshop Series is part of DLCP’s efforts to support Mayor Bowser’s “Come Back Plan.” It provides support and technical assistance to vendors and residents interested in street vending in the District of Columbia. The Street and Sidewalk Vending Series includes presentations on topics such as Sidewalk Vending applications and Renewals, Application Timelines, Associated Fees, Location Selection, and additional support from DLCP.
