CNHED is pleased to launch the DC Workforce Learning Lab, an interdisciplinary collaborative to aid service providers in improving the delivery of workforce development programs and services for District residents.
Join us as the DC Workforce Learning Lab presents its first training workshop, Shifting the Paradigm: Humanizing Workforce to Put People First, on Friday, November 9th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm at DCHFA (815 Florida Avenue, NW). This training event draws from the lessons in FaithWorks, An Innovative Approach to Workforce Development, and is designed specifically for organizations who are looking for an innovative approach that puts people first.
About the Training
This interactive training, facilitated by Carla Harris, the author of FaithWorks, will explore and unpack the concept of self-sufficiency and its relationship to poverty within the District. Attendees will have an opportunity to reflect on how human services can positively impact poverty. You will evaluate your roles and how we can better shape the candidate’s experience in how we work with and serve them by putting people first.
