As many of you may already know, in light of the COVID-19 situation, Mayor Muriel Bowser delayed her FY2021 DC Budget submission. Mayor Bowser will now release her budget on May 18.
With this news, CNHED has rescheduled its Budget Briefing, separating it into two different sessions – one surrounding affordable housing and community development, and the other economic development.

Tuesday, May 26 at 2:30 pm, join CNHED for our virtual annual briefing on the Mayor’s FY 2021 proposed budget. We will be joined by Dr. Unique N. Morris Hughes, the Director for the DC Department of Employment Services.
In her role as State Labor Commissioner, she is directly responsible for more than $150M in local, federal and specific-purpose funds administered by the District of Columbia and the federal government for workforce development programs and training, unemployment compensation, universal paid leave administration and labor standards enforcement along with more than $80M in active capital projects.
