You are invited to join CNHED at its next monthly meeting Creating and Sustaining Limited Equity Cooperatives in the District of Columbia on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Noon to 2:00 PM.
We will release a study of Limited Equity Cooperatives (LECs) in the District of Columbia, which CNHED co-authored in partnership with faculty and graduate students from the Urban/Regional Studies and Planning Program at Virginia Commonwealth University. During this meeting, guests will learn:
- the history of LECs in the District;
- how LECs are created and maintained;
- the important role LECs play in the Continuum of Housing;
- and recommendations for supporting the creation and maintenance of LECs as part of the District’s affordable housing strategy.
