Creating and Sustaining Limited Equity Cooperatives in the District of Columbia

You are invited to join CNHED at its next monthly meeting Creating and Sustaining Limited Equity Cooperatives in the District of Columbia on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Noon to 2:00 PM.

We will release a study of Limited Equity Cooperatives (LECs) in the District of Columbia, which CNHED co-authored in partnership with faculty and graduate students from the Urban/Regional Studies and Planning Program at Virginia Commonwealth University.  During this meeting, guests will learn:

  • the history of LECs in the District;
  • how LECs are created and maintained;
  • the important role LECs play in the Continuum of Housing;
  • and recommendations for supporting the creation and maintenance of LECs as part of the District’s affordable housing strategy.
